    Baby Things

    Met with the midwife today...

And I got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. What a reassuring sound... so full of life! I love this little one so much and yet it is only like the size of a peach...a peachy, beautiful little soul.

My friend Ruth sent me a link to an amazing picture book called Angel in the Waters, published by Sophia Institute Press. It is a beautiful story about a baby's experience inside it's mother's womb...and you can read the whole thing online!

Be forewarned...it's quite moving...I don't think it was just pregnancy hormones that made me weep as I read it!

LOL! Haven't you seen that movie "look who's talking"...babies are incredible...they are like dogs and toys...they can speak to eachother but when the adults come around they just revert to the babbling. It's a true mystery, my friend.

Look who's talking is a funny movie. My favorite line:

    Baby: Who's that big man?
Girl Baby: Oh, that's probably her daddy.
    Baby: What's that?
Girl Baby: The guy who hangs out with the mommy...you know, the daddy.
