A Pirate, a Pincushion and a Pair of Feet

Aaaargh mate-y! Beware of the Dread Pirate Basil! He swarms upon unsuspecting villans with his trusty sword and glares though his felt/ribbon eye patch, hoarding captured booty behind the sofa! I like when he dons my black headscarf.

Here's another one of those pincusions. They are fast, fun, and make good little gifts for sewers and crafters.

I've been letting Basil experiment with the camera. It's interesting to see what he does. Although he doesn't quite understand how to point the lens at the subject...he just clicks away, but loves it. Yes those are my feet and I am wearing jeans under that dress...oh that's like sooo 2000! I had been inspired by the girl in The Ballad of Jack and Rose (a so-so flick we rented...I'll give more info if you're interested) and was at home with two babies for four days straight...had to spice it up.

Children's imaginations are so wonderful. Too bad we adults lose the ability to "play" that way.

    Love that pincushion!

The Dread Pirate Basil would get along with the Dread Pirates Nicho and Joe very well I'm sure!!! Swords and shields are VERY popular in the Ferrenberg home. If they don't have them they make them.
