Just Sharing a Link, That's All

    Interesting website, interesting article.

Good thoughts and ideas on kids and toys. It's amazing where trying to put a little thought into living will lead you. There are so many ways to make a difference, so much to learn.

    Happy Friday!!

Very interesting. It is good to be reminded of the sweat shop issue when making purchases.
The hard thing is, we are very picky about the toys we buy him, yet his toy chest if full of plastic, light up and somewhat obnoxious toys that we hoped to avoid. Even when we ask people to buy him wood toys and books, we get the silly stuff. I hate to offend, especially the grandparents. I guess if I start returning the junk, they will be more mindful of our requests. I am such a people pleaser, but thank you for the reminder, it is an encouragement to stand by my convictions.
oh, and I will have a new post up soon. We are doing well.

Annie, so glad to hear you are doing well...i hear you about people pleasing...i somehow had the guts to include a little tidbit in basil's invite to his second birthday about wod toys, books, simple toys, made or reused things. i felt so lame after doing it...no one said anything but i felt like nothing more than an annoying, idealistic mom. oh well, live and learn!

    dawn, you're welcome :)

    sara,
that's so funny, because we really considered putting a side note in johnny's invites specifiying which toys we would like for him. But I could just imagine all the rolling of eyes. I chickened out. Aside from a noisy and extremely annoying SpongeBob Square Pants book, he got some very useful things.
I hope my first comment didn't sound ungrateful.
oh, and I really am going to blog soon. really. i've just fallen out of the routine, it's hard to get going again.
